History

Was launched on September 7, 2009, created by Andre Santos, with the name of Coobi but already before this project had already been started by the name of ktemac which initially was to be an alternative search engine, but over time we realize that ordinary users do not want to change, and so in September 2009 we launched this project, which initially had not intended to be an alternative search engine but to create a site that lets users search quick and speedy access to information such as sites or applications.

In early of 2010 we have adopted the 2.45 version which introduced four new things:
- New design. This change allow new visitors find their way better at Coobi.
- Improved performance. Down loading the main page of 20/10 seconds to 5 seconds.
- Multi-search. We started the multi-search that today is still in force.
- Search by category. This new "functionality" allowed to divide the search into categories.

In August 2010 we have adopted the 2.6 version that gave a better compatibility in all major browsers and several new categories and multi-sites were added to the multi-search.
In September of that year has introduced the version 2.7:
- New design and consequently a better performance.
- Support for chrome, opera, safari, firefox and internet explorer 8, where earlier versions of this latest browser will no longer be supported.
- Introduction of the category "Social" and added more new search's.

In October began the support for Spanish, French and German.

CooBi Version

Objective

Allow users to search across multiple sites and enable a quick and easy access to the most popular features of the Internet.

Philosophy

Our philosophy consists in enjoying of a clean, propaganda-ridden, virus-free, safe web.

To do this, you only need to say to yourself the CooBian prayer below:

CooBi ours that are on the net

Holy  be your site

Come to us your wisdom

Be your search made

As in Chrome as in other browsers

Give us the wisdom of every day, today

Forgive our treason when we search in a site that is no CooBi

But do not leave us hanging

And save us from “Page not Found”

Amen

Coodutcs versions

Below, you can find the available Cooduct (CooBi products) versions:

Alpha - Also called  A, one of the versions that has a bigger CooBi product inflow, due to all the projects beginning with this version… Project phase.

Pre Beta - Called PB, the primary testing version...Initial testing phase

Beta - Represented with the letter B, it’s the decision of moving forward with the project or stop. In this phase, the project is totally available to any user... Primary testing phase

Closed Beta - One of the most respected versions due to being, also, represented by the CooBi letters (CB)... Transitive testing phase

Release Candidate - The Release Candidate version or RC can be considered as the closest to the final, as it present all the functions, interfaces and performances without considerable errors.Liberation phase

Gold, final - In CooBi, this or after this phase, the final launching of the product/project is done, now not being referenced by any version, as this one or the others above. Real liberation phase

After the Beta version, the products will be represented by various numbers besides, for an example, Version 1.5.Version 10.123.456 Beta, this will be the model of the after-and-during-beta version.

The last number represents the number of corrections after the application’s launching, in this case, 456. The number between the dots shows the improvements or points in which the program evolved, here 123. And the first number means that 10 function of huge importance were incorporated to the program since it’s beta launch.
